Before Your Spray Tan
For the best results, exfoliate your skin 24 hours before your appointment, shave or wax as needed, and arrive with clean, dry skin free of lotions, perfumes, deodorant, and makeup.
Gently exfoliate your skin at least 24 hours before your tan using an oil-free exfoliating scrub or mitt. Avoid using bar soap, as it can leave a residue that affects the tan's absorption.
Yes! If shaving, do so at least 12 hours before your tan. If waxing, schedule it 24-48 hours in advance to allow your pores to close properly.
Wear dark, loose-fitting clothing and avoid tight bras, leggings, or socks that may rub against your tan.
Yes! These can create a barrier, leading to an uneven tan. Arrive with clean, product-free skin for the best results.
During Your Spray Tan
Your session typically lasts 30 minutes, including prep, application, and drying time.
YES YES! I customize every spray tan to your unique skin tone (including light, medium, dark tones) and desired shade, ensuring a natural, flawless glow.
Nope! I use high-quality, organic solutions that don’t have that typical spray tan odor.
The bronzer may transfer onto clothing or sheets but washes out easily from most fabrics. Wear loose, dark clothing after your session to avoid noticeable transfer.
Yes! I use organic, skin-safe solutions. However, if you’re pregnant or have very sensitive skin, consult with your doctor first.
Absolutely! Spray tanning isn’t about changing your beautiful shade — it’s about enhancing it. For deep skin tones, a spray tan can:
- Add a gorgeous, radiant warmth
- Even out areas of discoloration
- Give the skin a silky, airbrushed finish
- Boost hydration and smoothness with nourishing ingredients
Wait 8-12 hours before showering unless you receive a rapid tan, in which case I’ll advise a 1-4 hour rinse time based on your desired shade.
Avoid sweating, swimming, or any moisture for at least 12 hours to prevent streaking.
Loose-fitting, dark-colored clothing is best. Avoid tight bras, leggings, or shoes that may rub
against your tan.
Moisturize daily with an oil-free lotion, avoid long hot showers, and pat your skin dry after bathing. Using a tan-safe body wash can also help maintain your glow
Yes, as long as you keep your skin hydrated and exfoliate gently before your next tan.
Chlorine and salt water can cause your tan to fade faster. If swimming, apply a waterproof
sunscreen to help protect your glow.
The first shower will remove the bronzer and reveal your true tan. If needed, gently exfoliate any uneven areas after 24 hours.
General Questions
Your tan will last 7-10 days with proper aftercare.
For a consistent glow, schedule a spray tan every 7-10 days, making sure to exfoliate before each session.
No! A spray tan does not provide sun protection. Always apply SPF when outside.
Yes, but a spray tan does not act as sunscreen, so protect your skin with SPF.
Yes! I bring the luxury spray tan experience to you for a flawless, sun-kissed glow in the comfort of your home.
It’s best to schedule your manicure and pedicure before your spray tan appointment. The soaking, scrubbing, and lotions used during a mani/pedi can cause uneven fading or remove parts of your tan. If you must do it after, wait at least 24-48 hours and request a dry mani/pedi with minimal soaking to preserve your shade.
No, a spray tan won’t ruin your manicure or pedicure, but it’s best to take a few precautions! If you have fresh polish, gel, or acrylics, the tan solution may temporarily discolor lighter shades, like white or pastel. To prevent this, I will apply a thin layer of barrier cream to your nails before your tan. Then after the spray, I will wipe all residue off your nails.
We use X-Tan Sunless products, specifically the Bronzite and Obsidian Sunless Tanning Solutions. These products are designed to cater to various skin tones and preferences, ensuring a flawless and nourishing sunless tanning experience.
Bridal Spray Tans
I recommend booking your spray tan 2-3 days before your wedding to allow the color to settle and look its most natural. This also ensures you have time for your first rinse and final color development before the big day!
Absolutely! A trial tan at least 3-4 weeks before your wedding lets us customize your ideal shade and ensure you love the results. We can make any needed adjustments before your final wedding tan.
Once your tan has fully developed and you've done your final rinse, it shouldn’t transfer to your dress. However, I recommend wearing loose-fitting clothing after your session and avoiding excessive sweating before your wedding. If needed, a light dusting of baby powder on areas where the dress is snug (like underarms and straps) can help prevent any rubbing.
Yes! I customize each tan to enhance your natural skin tone without looking orange or overly dark. Your trial session will help us perfect your ideal bridal glow.
Of course! I offer group bookings so your bridal party, mother of the bride, and even the groom can have a flawless shade for the big day. See my packages under bridal tans and if you need to customize, we can do that as well.
